So I took a trip to sprouts and I remembered that I really wanted to try the imfamous super food, goji berries!
I found an attendant and asked him to show me where they were and I was soooo excited because they looked like raisons, which I love and I was so sure I would love them too. I bought the package they had which looked like about 2 cups of berries for $4.50 got to my car and broke it open!… ummm ewwwww
I hate them!.. they are the fountain of youth, the answer to chronic illness and they taste crappy!
‘Goji berries also have compounds rich in vitamin A that may have anti-aging benefits. These special compounds help boost immune function, protectÂ vision, and may help prevent heart disease.

All is not lostÂ however, IÂ have no intention on making those bad boys got to waste so I am on the hunt for some recipes I can use them in since eating them raw is probably going to take a miracle.
Here is what I found –
Choclate Goji Goji – I made that up even though It isnt my recipe
- 2 cups water
- 1/4 cup goji berries
- 1 banana
- Â½ cup fresh or frozen berries (blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, etc)
- A little honey or stevia to sweeten (optional)
- 1 tablespoon cacao powder or nibs (chocolate goes great with goji berries)
- 1 serving protein powder
- 1 serving green superfood powder
2.5 cups mixed fresh OR thawed and strained frozen strawberries, raspberries, and/or blueberries
8 pitted dates (to taste)
small handful dried (or fresh) goji berries
2 T raw wild honey
1 â€“ 2 T lucuma powder (a Peruvian low-glycemic berry)
Pinch of sea salt
