Red Eye means a couple of things in various scenarios. At the airport it means the last flight out, on TV it is that stuff you get in your eye before you use Visine according to the commercial! In the Jamaican patois language, red eye means – jelousy, envious, wanting something that does not belong to you or isn’t for you.
My hair cussed me out yesterday!
Em: you never learn do you
me: Dont rub it in, I just wanted to try the curly girl thing, I saw everyone posting pics with their cutsie coils and curls, and I just wanted ….
Em: now look at me, caz you red eye! im a tangled mess, you using a comb to fix the problem you created, Im going all down the drain! SMH
Me: I’m sorry It wont happen again, I’m back to the old routine that you love … Besties??
Em: hell naw!.. You need time to learn!… cant wait for Joe to see the drain… you just messin up!
Moral of the story is, do you! always, why did I decide I was going to break my normal wash, braid and go routine and incorporate a regular wash and go, loose hair, gel, the whole nine!.. sweet baby Jesus my joint was a mess!
Last night I got in the shower, decided to shampoo and even though adding shampoo to an already tangled mess is a no no ….I had to! I wanted to rid my hair of all gel residue. I greased up my hair with coconut oil prior to applying my Aubrey Organics shampoo and then used Suave coconut conditioner to condition. (I probably used half the bottle). I sectioned my hair in six and proceeded to detangle section by section using a wide tooth comb. I haven’t used a comb in my hair in about 4 months and I was loving the freedom but last night I needed some reinforcement…the comb helped me detangle each section after which I braided (in the shower) did my business and allowed my hair to air dry in the braids.
In the morning I released the braids.. stretched .. and my hair was dry and finally back to normal!
Hopefully Em wont be mad by the end of the day!… love her so..
