If there was an award for the day that appears to be the most reoccurring it would be Monday hands down. Its raining here, like some serious thunderstorm type, ‘my hair is about to be frizzy’ kind of rain. However despite  running across the street in the middle of the tsunami in order to get to the office, my hair still maintained and well Monday has officially begun!
Since we can’t avoid Monday’s I have been really working on ways to get organised but most of all to get my mind right for the rest of the week. To meet your goals you can’t get side tracked by negative thoughts or just random little things so finding ways to improve the start of the week and get focused is top priority. So far I have incorporated a few things, and well, sharing is caring.
Wash and Set My Hair on Sunday  This sets the tone for Monday Morning Fabulous because when your hair looks great chances are your mood will be the same. It doesn’t always work but I can vouch for most of the time. Yesterday I washed, conditioned, oil rinsed and did a braid and curl – Monday Morning Fabulous was in Full effect.
Juice something This means get the groceries done by Saturday so that on Sunday you can create something nutritious with your Juicer. Not only does Juice set the tone for your day but if you had a really bad weekend doing the most with food and couple of shots here and there (smile) – Juicing can be a great detox
Today’s Juice
cucumber
ginger
celery
 2 green apples
cilantro
Spend Quiet Time with the Fam I had to add this because for me, it feels as if once 6AM Monday rolls around, I am on a giant rollercoaster and I don’t get time to just stop! Even though during the week there is quiet time, I get more time on Sunday to just play with baby, chill with the fam, maybe watch a movie. Like yesterday we watched Hansel and Gretel – the movie was just ‘ok’ but the time we spent clownin’ the movie was priceless.
Read and MeditateÂ
– I try to read something that helps me personally, everyone needs a little therapy, and for those of us who can’t afford a red couch and someone asking you about your childhood memories a self-help book will suffice. I recommend Self Matters by Dr. Phil, great reviews, or any other one that you might like, just get something inspiring.
-meditation means different things for different people so whatever it is that you do that keeps your mind positive you should do it. Meditation is so important especially for stress, Lord knows sometimes you have to just pray stuff away!
Workout hard on Monday Large Muscles only – Back in the day when I used to lift really heavy in Jamaica, my trainer would always want me to do big muscle groups on a Monday, that meant back with some biceps or legs. So essentially my hardest workout day was Monday and I always opted to do legs and spin. Which means my legs were crying after but it felt great! There is just something about going hard on a Monday that makes things easier!
Enjoy Your Monday,
Em
