Every just want a full on curly fro? look below and see two ways it can be achieved.
I am in love with the flat twist set! – too cute
Shanti of A curls Best Friend wrote a post today about re-igniting the flame between you and your hair, especially after a couple years of doing the same old thing over and over. I started to think about my relationship with Emily and honestly we are kind of like an old married couple? Is that so bad? sure the flame is gone, I no longer get excited on wash day, I don’t play in my hair like I used to and even my excessive visits to Sallys and other beauty supply stores have kind of dwindled. So Shanti posed the question, how do you get the flame back? What makes you want to try different hairstyles and get excited about your hair again?.
Oh and she also mentioned she used to look at the blog posts daily(Curly Nikki and Moptopmaven) – That was me, I would never ever miss a day!
So how do we get the flame back? can we? or are we just too busy talking about hair to actually do our hair?
I know Im a victim of hair boredom or that #imtoobusyforthisish attitude- I will bun in a minute and with a baby on the way, its about to get worse real quick.
Set a new hair goal – My hair is below bra strap stretched right now, what if I just used my routine which has been working for me, to gain longer lengths. This way I can keep doing what I am doing and I will have a valid excuse for not experimenting so much and ‘igniting a flame so to speak’- see.. easy!
I probably could have done a better job!
My week has been rough? how about yours? did you miss the 29th too because I am sure I skipped that day!

Then you saw B’s right? TMZ viewers didn’t really like hers but hec what do they know..
Its so freakin hot, I don’t think we have much of a choice.. I rock that thing daily.. Em
I love love this style, I did mine with just 3 buns and I let my bangs sweep to the side. The style is very comfortable and can be worn for a couple days.
this is a close up of the middle and lower bun, pinned and tucked into each other to hide the goodie bands and pins.
my bangs are just messy and tucked to the side for an easy breezy look.
NikkiMae has a great interpretation herself see below:
I was reading Essence today and they had an article with some celebs and a celebrity hair stylist (Groover) provided some hints on how to achieve the various styles. I thought it was a great article for a re-blog so here goes:
So its March! isn’t that great!.. Spring fun!, Daddy’s birthday, flowers on the trees, spring cleaning and yard work! love it.
Today I had a bunch of errands to run before my workout and I wanted my hair up and out of my face. I did a wash and go yesterday so this is second day hair pinned in kind of an up do:
its a watered down version of this style except I just use hair pins:
At first I had it ‘smooth’ in the front (yea I know its fuzzy, but fuzz gives it character)
Then I decided.. *boring* let me try to flat twist or braid in the front.. (please don’t ask how I achieved it, I literally had to close my eyes and imagine how I wanted the hair to flow and move my hands to imitate what was going on in my head.. * OK OK… its not that serious, but if you just start braiding it will come)
Hope you like… I do!
