My product pack from Amazing Botanicals included the Black Soap Poo, Black Castor Elixer, and the Aloe Mint Spritz.
Black Soap Poo–
From the website -SULFATE FREE, MOISTURIZING AND SUDSY!
Our Black Soap Shampoo is infused with Red Palm, Grapeseed, Marshmallow root, Burdock, Plantain, Nettle, Rosemary, and Panthenol. This super sudsy formula cleanses without drying and is enriched with Vitamins A,C,E and Beta Carotene. Shampoo regular and follow with our Honey Condish for an Amazing luster and shine!
I have always wanted to try Black Soap, but I did not particularly like the idea of a bar. Amazing Botanicals shampoo gives me the best of both worlds, I get quality of the bar in a convenient package infused with additional amazing ingredients, I absolutely love it. My staple shampoo is the Shea Moisture Shampoo, but I think I have a replacement.
The smell – Herbal and earthy
The texture and color – Dark Brown, not too thick not too runny
My Hair- Not stripped, extremely moisturized and best of all clean! The shampoo suds up like a sulfate shampoo but does no strip the hair. Will it be squeaky clean? yes… the product is simply perfect and you do not need alot to get the suddy stuff we all know and love.
Black Castor Elixir-
From the Website -**Jamaican Black Castor Oil is known for its hair growth and thickening properties. We have blended it with essential oils of sweet orange, rosemary, neem, and ylang ylang for a deep hot oil or daily treatment.
Inside:Jamaican Black Castor Oil, Camellia Seed Oil, Vitamin E, Sweet Orange, Rosemary, Neem, and Ylang Ylang Essential Oils.
My thoughts -Think of this product like a Super Castor Oil, it is a wonderful blend of oils, it coated my hair well for the hot oil treatment I used it for and I used it daily as a sealant.
I received a full bottle, I have used so much of it already, I love it!
The smell – Like Castor Oil
Texture and Color – the texture is the same as any oil and the color is a light brown. The Owners of Amazing Botanicals actually fly to Jamaica to get the raw castor oil that is made through a roasting and pressing process, If you have ever seen this oil in its rawest state, it is usually a rich almost black in color. (I have some in my closet in a rum bottle) I can definitely appreciate the quality of the ingredients in the Elixir and I feel confident using it on my hair.
Aloe Mint Spritz –
From the website – Inside the bottle: Distilled water and Aloe Juice infused with Marshmallow root, Burdock, Nettle, Horsetail, Plantain Extract, Irish Moss and Peppermint, Behentrimonium Methosulfate, Jojoba oil, JBCO, Shea butter, Wildflower Honey, Panthenol, Neem Oil, and Rosemary
My thoughts – the Spritz is awesome as a next day refresher! one of its intended purposes is as a detangler or leave in conditioner. My hair takes alot of leave in and it prefers a heavy creamy leave in and the spritz did not give me enough slip in order to do a thorough detangle but it was wonderful as a moisturizer. I used the spritz every night just to keep my hair soft and moist.
Amazing Botanicals *has* my business the customer service is wonderful, my package arrived a day before they told me it would, you can contact them and ask any questions you have and know that they will take care of you as if you are the only customer they have. I would recommend ‘Liking’ them on Facebook so that you can have direct contact with the owners.
        Fluffy, soft messy curls! –
